Hi, I’m Wen, and I run Wen Gem Studio from sunny Singapore. This all started with me as a gemstone collector who loved anything pretty and sparkly✨. Curiosity turned into obsession, and I eventually learned gem cutting so I could shape the stones I loved with my own hands.
Now Wen Gem Studio is a one-woman show – I source, cut, polish, photograph, and fuss over each gem before it reaches the shop, all from my tiny 2-bedroom apartment in Singapore.
Before this, I was academically trained in computer science and spent most of my life in tech sales – deals, meetings, pipelines, the whole thing. In my 30s, I decided to leave that behind and pour my time (and savings) into building this gemstone studio. Think of this space as part gem collection, part yappy entrepreneurial journal, growing one stone at a time.
Most of the stones here are natural, cut & polished facet by facet, with an emphasis on honest color and character rather than perfection on paper. I try to keep things as transparent as possible – origin, treatment, and the little quirks that give each gem its personality.
Thanks for hanging out with me here – this feels like we’re chatting about stones over a glass of wine 🍷. If any of them catches your eye and you’d like more photos, videos, or just to talk gems, you’re always welcome to reach out 💖.

Please note that for Singapore orders, I will hand over the stone to you face to face - we can meet for coffee or matcha :). This way, you also get to see the stone under the sun. I will reach out to your after the order is placed to arrange a time & place.
Where are your gemstones sources and manufactured?
Most of the stones are sourced from mother earth with no treatments unless otherwise indicated. I carefully select whom I source the rough stones from, to ensure high quality. Once in a while I do cut synthetic stones and some of them will be posted on the website.
